Young Carers

Christ's College is keen to support its students who find themselves in the position of being Young Carers. This means that they help look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition or a drug or alcohol problem. As a Christian school which supports its whole community, we wish to be a Young Carer Friendly school and so we are working towards the Surrey Young Carers Angel Award. This Award has been developed by young carers to reduce the barriers to their learning and achievement. There are 8 achievable standards which will be checked by Surrey Young Carers and our students who are young carers. It has been amazing to see that we are already well on our way to completing this.

We are here to support anyone who looks after someone in their family.
